Goodbye, 2025. Hello, 2026.
2025 was a year of real momentum for Scribner. In November, we unveiled a stunning new Christmas tree that lights up our downtown, added a new ambulance in December to better serve our residents and saw school enrollment climb with an expansion underway to support that growth. Landscaping was completed at the new Scribner highway sign in the spring, helping it stand out among town signs across the state. Scribner even made the news in April after someone stole the “B” from the sign, earning mentions on Todd & Tyler and news outlets, none of them realizing it was a prank. Good times. Good times.
Fundraising and construction began on the Heroes Park Veterans Memorial in August, with an incredible $183,000 raised in just four months. At Mohr Auditorium, construction phases are right on track, in February Precision Building & Remodeling finished up the front half of the renovation, while HVAC updates are currently underway.
Scribner Daze in July debuted its first-ever Swing & Swim Night, bringing hundreds of people back home to reconnect and celebrate the town that shaped them. Community projects continued moving forward, childcare options expanded, local events grew stronger and hometown pride showed up in a big way.
None of this happens by accident. It happens because of donors who care deeply about Scribner and an incredible base of volunteers who show up and get things done. Groups like the Scribner Area Foundation, Pebble Creek Vintage Thrift and the Scribner Chamber of Commerce played a major role in helping move many of these projects forward alongside countless others who quietly put in the work.
We’re proud of 2025 and excited to keep building in 2026!
