It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Scribner’s former Mayor, Dennis Baumert, who served our town from 1984 to 2006.
Our hearts are with the Baumert family.

“If anyone was ever Mr. Scribner it was Dennis Baumert. He ran his business, volunteered, became mayor in the worst flood ever and then donated back as well.
Scribner would not be as vibrant without our dike. He made that happen even though he lost customers at the time.
Thank you Dennis.”
This is one of those stories that makes you realize just how much one person can shape a town, leaving behind a legacy that is still part of our community today.
