A representative from the Homeland Security office in Lincoln will be in Scribner January 23 presenting information on the E-Verify process. The presentation will be held at the Furstenau Community Center, 530 Main Street. The event begins at 6 p.m. and is free to attend. All Scribner businesses are encouraged to attend. The program should last about an hour. The presentation will explain how to use the E-Verify system. Information packets will also be available.

“Activate Your Marketing Plan,” a free workshop for Small Business Owners and Entrepreneurs will be held Monday, Feb. 3, 2020 at the Furstenau Community Center, 530 Main Street. If you struggle with how to market your business, or finding the time to dedicate to marketing, join us for this class to learn some strategies that will set you up for success. When you depart from this class, you’ll have a customized plan to activate your marketing plan. The workshop will be held from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. and is free of charge. Class size is limited. Scribner Area Chamber of Commerce will hold their annual meeting Thursday, January 23, 2020 at Z’s Bar and Grill. Social will be held at 6:30 p.m. with the meal and meeting a 7:30 p.m.

Scribner City Council meets Monday, January 27, 2020, 6:30 p.m. in the Furstenau Building

The Scribner-Snyder Community Schools and Logan View Public Schools Boards of Education will hold a special meeting Monday, January 27, 2020 at 7:30 p.m. at Logan View to discuss possible merger.
