Dear Scribner-Snyder Families,
We want to inform you of an important change to the start of the 2026-2027 school year.
Due to construction delays related to manufacturing and material availability that are outside of our control, we need to adjust our school calendar to ensure our new building is fully ready for students and staff.
The updated dates are:
Open House: Tuesday, August 18th – 5:00 p.m.
First Day of School for PreK-12: Wednesday, August 19 (previously scheduled for Friday, August 14). This will be a full day of school.
We understand this change may be inconvenient, especially for families who have already made plans based on the original calendar. We sincerely apologize for the disruption and appreciate your flexibility and understanding.
While construction has made tremendous progress, we want to ensure that students and staff begin the year in a building that is safe, complete, and fully prepared for learning. Taking a few additional days will allow contractors time to finish remaining work and ensure everything is ready for a successful start to the school year.
To maintain the required instructional days, the last day of school will now be Friday, May 21.
Thank you for your patience and continued support as we complete this exciting project. We look forward to welcoming everyone to our beautiful new school and beginning another outstanding year together.
