Scribner Area Foundation (SAF) Has Helped…
• The Scribner Improvement and Industrial Corporation funds to help pay for the new electronic sign for our city, located on Highway 275.
• American Legion Auxiliary was awarded funds to purchase American flags and patriotic rulers for area youth, along with the Gold Star Mother project, which places markers at the graves of deceased Dodge County Gold Star Mothers.
• Scribner Public Library was awarded funds to help with historical record keeping , digitizing the local newspaper from 1867-2000 for its patrons.
• Scribner Public Library was also awarded funds to help upgrade the facility’s technology, receiving a grant to help implement and expanded the Makerspace STEM afterschool program.
• Musbach Museum was awarded funds to purchase shelving for the display of historical artifacts, along with a scanner to help preserve documents & larger photos of our community’s history
• Youth Sports Complex was awarded funds to purchase folding chairs to be used at the complex
• Scribner Baseball Field was awarded funds to help purchase an air conditioner for its concession stand.
• Scribner American Legion was awarded grants for tables and chairs for our veterans
• Scribner American Legion also received funding for fencing around the ball field, in order for the Legion to be eligible to host state and area legion and senior baseball tournaments.
• Scribner Nebraska Community Improvement Program to provide a new scoreboard for the local baseball and football fields.
• Main Street Boulevard, to help replace foliage on the city’s Main Street Boulevard, which is continuously cared for by local volunteers.
• Music in the Park, bringing families & community together for a fun night out of arts & culture
• Boy Scout Troop #164 was granted funds for seasonal tents & camping supplies
• City Park & Ball Field Complex received a grant for rubber playground mulch to improve safety
• Scribner Baseball Concessions were granted a donation to help replace the popcorn and ice machine
• Scribner Rescue Department was granted funds to help defray the cost of CPR mannequin
• United Luther Quilters received a grant to purchase a sewing machine to make quilts for families in need
• Scribner Fire Department Building Fund received funds from the 2019 Big Give
• Scribner Swimming Pool received funds from the 2020 Big Give to go toward improvements
• American Legion for pitcher mound repairs & upkeep for the baseball field
• Scribner Food Bank via Lifehouse Food Pantry received a donation of $11,000 in grant funds to help sustain families during the pandemic
• Beautification Committee received funds from the 2021 Big Give to purchase hanging flower pots for downtown
